Russian birch plywood is harvested in the northern regions of Russia. Due to frosts this plywood has very light natural colour. It composes of 1.4 mm thick birch plies by cross bonding with either melamine urea glue (interior glue, no visible glue line), or phenol-formaldehyde glue (exterior glue, brown glue line). This is a high-quality structural and decorative material. The surface is sanded on both faces.
Appearance grades of the Birch Plywood:
B (Premium Grade) Practically without defects. Discoloration is allowed up to 15% of the sheet surface, loose knots and knotholes sized up to 5 mm are allowed up to 3 per m2
BB – Discoloration is allowed up to 70% of a sheet surface. Loose knots and open defects are patched, patches (plugs) should match surrounding grain direction and colour. CP – discoloration and patches are allowed without limits, putty repair is allowed. C – Not sanded. Open defects of wood structure and processing defects are allowed
Applications:
exterior and interior furniture, cabinets, joinery, flooring, wall panelling, decorative and structural applications, staircase, partitions, cheerleading (sprung) floors in sizes 1525x1525x9 mm/12 mm.
Processing options:
Birch Plywood can be stained, painted, oiled and waxed. It is suitable for CNC routing and printing HD images. Birch plywood on the interior glue is suitable for laser cutting.

CLEAR Coated
Clear Coated Birch plywood is a ready-to-paint BB/BB grade product. It has a UV coating and a PU primer on both sides. The surface finish simplifies future finishing works and decreases finishing material consumption. This plywood is environmentally friendly, easy and fast to paint while using less paint, and does not require priming. The primer coating protects the plywood surface against moisture and burning (scorching) when laser-cutting tools are used. This plywood is manufactured in accordance with the standard EN 13986, the formaldehyde emission of Clear Coated Birch plywood meets the Class E1 requirements.
Applications:
interior and exterior, it can be used as painted as well as unpainted for furniture, cabinets, floors, walls, and ceilings, and for architectural design application. A clear coat allows all the beautiful natural colour, grain and character of the wood to be highlighted. Suitable for laser cutting when on interior glue.
